Accommodation

Our romantic retreat provides comfortable lodging for two in a purpose built “Pod”.  There is a semi-outdoor kitchen area and rustic & unique bath/shower and composting toilet.  We are eco-friendly, use 12 volt or solar lighting, gas and rainwater collection.  We have used recycled timber and materials to create our hideaway.

It is a perfect place for couples looking for a peaceful , off grid experience, listening to the sounds of nature.  Share your experience with our sheep, our free-range chickens and “confusion of guinea fowl” and plenty of bird life, including kiwi, tui’s, quails and pheasant.  Neighbouring goats, alpacas and cows often visit the bordering fence line, enjoying human company.

Take time to relax and unwind and at night enjoy star gazing from the bath, listening to our kiwi calls and the Puketotara river flowing in the valley.  During open fire season, guests are welcome to sit around a fire and enjoy our clear night skies.

If you love the outdoors, glamping, bush, peace and solitude except for natures intrusions and seeking to recharge, then our spot is worth “wobbling inn” to!
